Jazz Sets The Stage For The Grand Opening

After the grand opening, the band continued marching about the exhibit hall. They played and danced from one end of the floor to the other. I think this was one of the happiest exhibit halls I have ever seen. New Orleans you know how to have fun.

The Parade Makes It Official - We Are Open

The parade led folks into the exhibit hall and down the center aisle. The crowd moved fast, faster than the band. These people had studied the floor plan and took off running as soon as they could get past security. They wanted to be first at the booth that had their focus. It is great to see such enthusiasm!

Getting Ready Part 2

I could have spent hours doing this, but I think you get the feeling. Everyone is excited. They have worked hard and now it is time to show off the product and meet new friends.

The Exhibit Hall Before The Storm

This was the scene on Tuesday morning before the doors opened. The exhibitors had worked for days (many 4 or 5 days) prior to opening the Expo. Now they were doing last minute things to make the booths look better.

I tried to keep the videos small in size and short in length. I have one more of these that will also be posted.

Third Time Is A Charm

I have been to the SouthWire booth three times. I thought I had seen everything. Wrong! I had missed the copper thief technology they are displaying. I had one of those forehead slapping moments. How could I have missed it??? I don’t know. I should have kept my mouth (blog) shut and not admitted it, but I had to. It is just too neat.

Can You Believe It?

Imagine what it took to get a piece of equipment the size of this (photo) into the convention center. Add the effort to put it together. Multiple this by all the booths with large equipment in them. That is a staggering image! Our manufacturers are really committed to showing off their best!

Coffee To Order

I finally found a little touch of heaven and it is at the Thomas & Betts booth. They have a wonderful lady there making coffee, espressos, cappuccino… You say please and you get a great cup. It was so good, but then I am partial to cappuccino. What a great pick-me-up after miles of walking.

The Faithful Gather

Well fans, here we are - the last day. It is a little sad. We have been here a week and NOLA has been a great host. The floor is pretty quiet right now. The vacuum cleaners are making most of the noise. The exhibitors look pretty tired. They have one more time to impress the attendees. Then they have to start tearing down the booths. What a lot of work to show us all the new toys.

The attendees are gathering outside the hall. They look tired too. I would say everyone had way too much fun judging by the expressions on their faces.

Wild Side

Here is the final result from the Siemens smartchopper photo session. If you want to see yourself in the saddle, get over to Siemens and have some fun with the green screen.

Winner - Best Booth Toy!!!

I stopped by the MacLean Power Supply booth again. I think they have the best booth toy. How can you beat money? They have been picking people to go into the phone booth and grab money! It appears several folks have grabbed over a hundred bucks. Pretty neat! You better go by and get in on the fun.
